TreeTrust wins German Design Award for sustainable website

TreeTrust, a subsidiary of Munich Re, receives the German Design Award in the category "Excellent Communications Design / Web" for its website.

"TreeTrust helps companies to achieve their net-zero goals through their own afforestation project and expresses this in an appealing, credible and authentic way on its website in words, pictures and graphics", according to the jury statement.

"We are very happy about this award, because transparency and comprehensibility are important values of our business and are very well implemented by our website and its design" says Andreas Heger, one of the founders and Managing Directors of TreeTrust. TreeTrust conveys and structures sustainable afforestation projects to corporate clients. The company relies on the Gold Standard for the Global Goals to certify its projects, actively supporting the realization of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. "We offer high-quality projects and intend a measurable contribution to achieving the climate goals. This high-quality standard is also reflected in our Corporate Design," says Heger.

The prize, awarded by the German Design Council, aims to promote the sustainable transformation of industry and society from a design perspective. After all, outstanding examples provide orientation for others and design plays a significant role on the path to a sustainable future.

The website www.treetrust.io was created in collaboration with mantro product studio GmbH. The company, being specialized in Venture Building, has developed a communication narrative with TreeTrust and transferred it visually into a website.

On February 3, 2023, the official award ceremony will take place at the Award Show in Frankfurt am Main.
